CONGRATS Hiker! I took all five of my kids out fishing this weekend too. It was free fishing all weekend in the state and the city of Clarkston held a fishin' derby for the kids so we went out for the day. Man it was a blast too! Every one of my kids left with at least 3 fish (With the exception of my 3 year old. He was more interested in chasing frogs and tryin' to catch bugs) and my youngest daughter won a fishin' rod and tackle box. Of course, I didn't get much fishin' done since I was the one runnin' from one kid to the next untanglin' lines, baitin' hooks, and takin' fish off the hooks but I enjoyed every minute of it!!!!!!!
By the way: I feel like bum after lookin' at everyone's pics! I gotta dust my camera off and start takin' more pics to post!

I need to take my kids fishing more and hope to again in a couple of weeks when we go to MT on vacation.

Thanks, Mnmt. We had a great time. :) Levi's 2nd trout was a cutthroat. He played them very well, rod tip up and kept the line tight. His older brother, Luke was a little envious but usually Luke is the one who catches the fish.

Meathunter13, We had a fun hike too. The little ones hung right in there, I keep telling them, "kids to be a good mountain hunter you have to be like a billy goat". My 11 year daughter can really hike well for her age, she doesn't quit and never complains. I'm thinking of letting her climb to Deluge Lake with me this summer when the snow comes off. That is a great climb, close to 3,500 feet up and 5 miles in. This will be her first year hunting with a rifle, she is getting excited but not nearly as much her Dad is. We are planning a Wyoming Deer and Pronghorn hunt.
