Looking for some info

How's everyone doing ? Just new to this site. I'm a mule deer and sheep nut .
I'm going hunting in Nevada for mule deer for 40 days , I'm planning on drawing
A unit 35 3rd rifle season tag in Colorado and driving from Nevada to eagle Colorado after my hunt is done in Nevada
Anyone know much about unit 35 , where a guy can start to look, what kind of genetics , any 200 class deer in that unit
Any info would be a great start . Thanks for taking the time to read. And good luck in this years draws !

I've never hunted 35, but Eagle county is well known for its genetics. Take a look at the B&C record books and you will see a significant number of entries. I understand that there are some issues with private land, but I think if you can find the deer you should have a good chance at a nice buck. 200" is a big buck, not sure I would pass on a solid 180+ buck looking for something that size.

Why is 35 easier to draw than 44 , the units are right across from each other , is it because of private land ?
Would it be a waste burning 3 points on unit 35 , I would rather hunt 44 but to long of a wait to get the points.
And to me the land owner tag is over priced in unit 44 ,

I don't know the answer to that question. There is some National Forest in 44, while 35 appears to be mostly BLM. It seems with that being the case access would acutally be better in 35. May just be a difference in management for the two units. 44 may be managed for a higher buck:doe ratio.
