News like this really sucks, sorry buck. Hope you find something soon. The thing really sucks is no one is safe, you could be at a place for 10+ years like your self and still could get the pink slip. Sorry man, good luck to you.

man that realy stinks, sorry to hear it! unfortunatly that is all the construction industry right now. any phase. i'm greatful i haven't missed any work so far, but in my area it is basically dead! i work for what used to be the biggest contractor in my town and are crew has went from 3 different 4 man crew with a couple more guys doing random work- clear down to.....................me :>/ i'm blessed that my boss and i get along real well, and he was well off long before construction so now he gives prices where he doesn't even really make money himself. he just gets the jobs to keep me working. but i dont know how long that can even last. i have absolutly cut way back on any chance of drawing out-of-state tags this fall, i'm going preferrence points in all the states i have been applying for. i really dont want a good tag this fall only to be out of work and explaining to my wife that it's still alright to drop the extra money to go hunting.
i hope you find a replacement soon! good luck :thumb

Sorry to hear that.
After 19 years, I injured my shoulder and after the second surgery they let me go. (workers comp) I've been on umemplyment for two months. Multi state, multi facility Operations Manager. I sure as heck dont want to go back driving trucks for a living. :>/

Good luck bud!

I am getting set to retire from the Military and am in the job hunting phase right now. Boy, it sure is tough out there! I am keeping my fingers crossed that something comes up before I hit my retirement date.

Again, good luck, my friend!

My wife seems to think I would have more of a chance if I would spend as much time looking for a job as I spend on M.M.

Sometimes I just dont understand what she's thinking. (???)

That hit home.... lol

Thanks to all for the positive feed back, it sure helps!!!

Just got registered for unemployment over the Internet....... Very nice!!! The last time I had to do this was 25 years ago and I remember having to stand in line for an hour, fill out paper work and back in line again ... P.I.A..

So doing it from home over the web is way cool!!... Just hope I dotted all the I's and crossed all the T's...LOL

It takes three weeks for the money to come in and they will probably call you prior to that. Very easy to do on the net.

Good lick on the job search.
