Where are you from?

What do you want to talk about? :)

Hi MuleyM thanks for the welcome :-)

I and a couple of friends are out of Ca .. =; please get to know us before flaming us Ca's we're transplants not native ca's [-o<

we are looking at doing an Elk hunt .. Utah has over the counter
for out of country hmmmm state that is LOLOLOLOL

we are looking at Central Manti south east of Mt Pleasant, UT.
we are also looking at doing a per hunt recon and camp out in
the month of July .. while trophy's are cool .. we are more
into meat hunting ( meat good :)

so any bow hunters in that area who could help get us on track
would be of help .. we don't want to make waves of cause
problems for the locals ... out of state hunters do enough
of that .. and we don't want to be in that category ...

Thanks Talon

Archery elk tags in this state are hunters choice. That means that you can take one elk of either sex. If I understand where you are talking about that area is a general season spike only unit. So your choice of elk will be a spike or a cow. I've never hunted there but have heard that there are plenty of elk down that way. Hope everything works out for you. :)

outsiders to enter their areas .. of course I can understand that :-k

Talon,

I am not a local from down that way but I have hunted down by Mount Pleasant. It is a spike only unit so you will be limited on what you can shoot. I only know of one area down there and I have personally not had a whole lot of success, but last year a couple of buddies both took spikes within a couple of hours of each other so they have had success. The only problem with the area I am talking about is the fact that our access is through private property. Elk herd is pretty strong though. Hope that helps.
