Luke's (Tracker) First elk hunt.

We got in a couple of hunts in this year.

This was my son's Luke's first elk hunt, as he just turned 12, the minimum age in Colorado for Big Game, in October. Luke was successful and killed his first elk. We tracked it down in the snow, spotted it before it spotted us and Luke shot it in its bed. Rangefinder said 209 yards. We had to watch her for almost an hour to finally decide the spike looking antlers above her head were sticks and not antlers. Great time together! While I was taking a photo of him another elk ran right by us and I was able to get her. The grace of God no doubt. Our other two hunting partners killed their elk too, so we went 4 for 4.
