Monster spotted!

While dropping off my deer at the taxidermist this year I spied a monster that was already there. The only info I know is it was shot in Unit 571 in the second season in Colorado. Typical 4 point with a kicker on the left side that was scored at 219 3/4" with a spread of just under 40"! Without the kicker it would be 36-37" wide. The taxidermist said he got a call from a young man who had just completed his first hunt and shot his first deer. A number of folks had told the young man he should get it mounted and he wanted the taxidermist to look at it and see if he really should get it mounted. The taxidermist said this is the biggest deer he has ever had the priveledge to mount. For those in the Colorado Springs area the name of the shop is Don's Taxidermery right next to Don's Barber Shop (he runs the two side by side). The shop is located off Shoup Blvd on the southern edge of Black Forest. As for my deer it's not even close. I got a nice 4X4 with a 29" spread, great mass and good height. For our camp, we got 2 elk (one 6X6, one cow) and 6 deer (3 bucks, 3 does). My brother got a nice 4X4, not very wide but good mass and great height. I'll get some pictures up soon, though I have to fire my cousin as a photographer. He stood way to far back in the field shots and the only decent photo I have of mine is with my niece and the cape. Hope everyone else had as great a year as we had.

Sounds like a "HOG" for sure, and heck you can't complain with a 29" 4-point for very long either. Can't wait to see the pics.
