Montana Big Game Season

My cousin from MT is down here in San Diego for the next week and is really bummed he will miss the opener, but work had to come first. He is stoked he has a deer tag for the Bridgers too.

My brother and i are headed to the Jordan Mt area this year. Heard there may have been some winter kill and deer numbers are down. anyone heard anything.

I wish the deer season in Utah was that long.... I hope you guys find some nice animals!

hey 3 of us coming from ohio next fall 2012 for our first muley hunt . we got our prefferance points in and were planning on getting drawn . is it a waist of our time we have heard so many stories about the last three winters being so hard on the south east side that there were a ton of kills. any help would be great .

This was my first season hunting in(eastern) MT. All of the local residents just keep saying how down the numbers have been. I have talked to alot of Block management landowners as well and they keep saying they haven't been seeing the numbers they used too. The deer are definatley still out there, but you will just need to be willing to put in the time and willing to hike in to places to get to the good bucks.

They are calling for another harsh winter this year so that could mean bad news yet again for the muleys and antelope.

Any luck over near Jordan? I believe there is alot of BMA land out there.

I seen the biggest buck of my life out just west of Sand Springs this year. I was on my way to the breaks Elk hunting.
