Nice, my in-laws have a cabin like that. With the same elk hunting success.

This is the drainage the cabin sits in,its about 1 mile up from where this pic was taken and right in the bottom of the canyon, our land borders the new sleeping giant wilderness area, our land gives us year long access to the heart of this new wilderness.

i just love the looks of that cabin. it is a true cabin not like these cabins you see now days that look more like a resort than a cabin.

question for you though, do you have to pack in to the cabin or is there a road right to it. if you have to pack in that makes it even better in my book.

Beautiful lookin cabin! That's be awesome to have somethin like that. Heck i'd prefer somethin like that over one of the big resort cabins

you can drive up the canyon as far as the cabin, beyond that you are in wilderness and you have to go in on horse back or on foot.Heres a pic of one of our campfire get togethers from not long ago, everybody brings thier birdogs, around here they are a family member!
this pic show more of the drainage,

you can see some of the high ridge parks where the elk rut every year, the cabin is directly below this location, the drainage goes up about 10 miles and ends in a series of big bowls and shale slides,if you go over the top you are looking down on the missouri river and Holter lake,we fished it yesterday and boated 27 nice rainbows!

heres a view from the top of our place looking down on holter and the missouri.

Somtimes I really wish my ancestors were homesteaders. Land here in So. Utah is worth more than gold. If that fire dies down, just give me a call and I can come and put another log on for you-all. I'll bet that some great stories are told over that fire. Awesome!!

sweet wish our property was that cool we have sage brush hills and tons of speed goats and coyotes but its nicecause it is pretty secluded so i wont comlain but i agree that is a true cabin not one of these complete amenites cabins that get built by the filthy rich there not even cabins there just houses with log siding in the used to be wilderness that are now subdivisions in the used to be hunting areas i hate it
