Moose on the Move to Colorado!

The moose DOW transplanted to Grand Mesa are doing so well that it looks like they are going to issue a bull tag for '09...almost all of these moose came from UT as well. I was fortunate enough to get a good photo of a pretty nice bull up there 2 summers ago.

There has been reports of moose around Colorado Springs a year or two ago. In fact a cow was found in a motor pool on Ft Carson. Don't know what became of it. I believe that moose tags have been available the last couple of years in Colorado. Not certain of that but last year the CDOW started puting illustrations of the difference between moose and elk in its big game brochures. If you can'nt tell the difference between a moose and an elk please don't hunt where horses are present lol

Reminds me of that story about the cowboy talking to a hunter "Ok lady! Its your elk just let me get my saddle off of him!"
