Mt. Dutton archery elk

I drew the Mt Dutton archery tag!!!! Anyone had that hunt in the last few years?

Not me, but a few guys on here got it this year. Looks like it'll be stiff competition for a big bull.

I have archery hunted this unit in 2000 and 2003 and guided the 'off' years on this unit. Shoot me a PM and we'll have to exchange info.

Im headin down there tomorrow to have a look around. We hunted it last year so i know the area but got a few new areas we are gonna take a peek at as we we two tags this year for the late season rifle

Good luck with all the spike elk/cow hunters, deer hunters, and rifle/muzzleloader elk scouters. Drew it last year, what a waste of points. with all the competition and no rut it was very difficult to even see an elk. after 20 days of hunting only had shots on a few raghorns. I think I'm going to hunt deer and spike elk up there this year, just to piss people off, you know, give back like you're supposed to. lol

I was camped up by snowbank the last weekend I was down there. Think I will be camping over on the east somewhere along the FS 125 road. Just look for a white nissan pathfinder. I will be down there this weekend as well.

my mom got a bull on the rifle in hoodle creek a few weeks ago. there was so many elk in there but that was on the rifle so i dunno. i havent been down there on the archery just on the rifle...
