Thanks

Not me. Of course, we don't get to hunt the Mulies during the rut with modern firearms....if I could only hit the broad side of a barn with a bow I may be able to speak differently.

To be honest, I have never heard of anyone tryin' it. I know there are calls out there along with Mule deer specific scents and such but most Mulie hunting I know of is done via "spot and stalk".

Of course, there are a lot of very knowledgeable folks on this site and hopefully someone here can give ya a bit better insite into the subject. I would be very interested to hear if anyone has been successful in callin' in a ruttin' Mulie just for my own curiosity.

This year while sitting my Treestands I tried a number of different calls and yes it is very possible to bring a Muley in, or back if you jump one.I would say impossible outside the Rut (bringing a Buck in)

I noticed the Higher screaching Bleats work the best, I think the call I like the best is actually a Javelina call. another thing I noticed is if you jump a Buck you can calm him down real quick with a very soft Grunt.Once anything has seen you, your done so dont educate them.

It is all trial and error with these calls to find out what works the best.

Good luck
