Mule deer or just a mule?

I found this crazy little deer near my place in the Wasatch Front. I had to pull out my camera and try to get a comparison shot. This thing really looks like a mule to me.

I'm still working on my Henry Mt post. I'm hoping to get the buck scored this month sometime. I have not forgotten though!

Definitely Mule Deer, just a fawn/yearling. I want that Henry post. :)

LOL, i was a bit vague. I was sure it was a deer, but have you ever seen one that dark?

Unless I die of unforeseen causes, I will have the Henry post up soon :) I pulled the antlers out this week and sat and stared at them over a cold "dad shasta". Taxi won't need them for another couple weeks :thumb

I've seen them that dark yes, I think it's fairly common among the younger ones. Or at least it seems that way from memory. (???)

You definitely see where the name mule deer comes from. I'm excited for everyone to get to see your buck.
