Muley hoof/leg coat hanger..

Figured it was muley related.. so, i have been working on a plaque to put two deer hooves/feet on as a coat rack. I'm working on the Mule deer image to go in the middle now. Going to burn it on later.
what do you muley fanatics think..? I carved the mountains out by hand too.

Possibly narrow out the nose a bit before burning? I'm not an expert by any means, but from what I've seen that seems to be just a little too cylindrical. Other than that it looks great! Keep posting pics as it comes along!

ps I meant for that to be completely constructive, and am in no way trying to be rude!

Yes that looks great! You could also maybe go a tiny bit higher above the eye. This is kind of hard to explain...I'll make a quick photoshop of what I mean!!

yes definitely round off the area where the eye is. Also use some shading if you can if a pencil so you know where to shade it when you burn. Mule deer have some light and dark contrasts on their face...be neat if you can do that. If not, it looks top notch for sure. I think it is going to be awesome when your done...please share

I'd say to maybe take that little eye bump even higher up. This is something that seems to be pretty pronounced when I have seen photos of muleys. Here is a pic that may help a little with the height of it and probably the shading as well...

I had some good shading going with the pencil. With the woodburner.. much more difficult. It turned out ok. Also put on the wood stain, i like the color. Going to put on the deer legs tomorrow.

migh make it easier on ya to put the grass all over the bottom iv always had problems with the lower leg area so i jus cover it up with grass and looks good also on the rump area if you draw a line so that it shows where the area of his white rump is compared to the darker area of his body
