My 08 bull

Last weekend we went up after a royal 7 we caught on camera 3 times, but as law would have it, when it came time to hunt him he was gone. Scouted for him every where. No luck. So we headed up the canyon to see what elese was there. Came up one ravine to see the tips of antlers, got he binos out and found a nice 6er 80 yards away. We crept up over the ridge and took a 53 yard shot. A 53 yard bad shot. Hit him in the front shoulder. BAD WAY BAD!! He took off up the canyon. We followed blood and tracks for about a mile. Then we spotted him in the bottom coming around us. We were able to head him off as he went thru a sage clearing. Again at 53 yards I let one go. It hit him quartring away behind the last rib and sonk it. He took 3 steps and nose dived. It'snt the bull we went after, but any bull over 350 is worth stickin a stick in it.
