My 6 year old completed his second wrestling tourney today!

Well guys, that dad that likes to brag is back at it again.

As most of you know, my 6 year old Skylor finished 3rd in his first ever wrestling tournament last weekend. Well, we went to our second tournament of the year and again....he finished 3rd!!

As I stated before, I thought that going into this year that he would have a tough go of it since he has never wrestled before but he has already surpassed my wildest expectations! I couldn't be prouder of the little guy and quite frankly, he could lose every match from here on out and it wouldn't change my thoughts at all!

Here are a few pics. Again, the wife didn't take many still photos since we were video taping all the matches. I was coaching him mat-side so I couldn't take any pics. (I was screaming way too much to hold still long enough to take a pic!)
Skylor is the little blond kid on the right.
Only the winners get to sign the score card!

I grew up in Delta Utah, so it's like religon there. I'm excited for my boy to do the same if he chooses. *Crossing fingers* Love the photo's. I was 6 when I wrestled my first match.

Thanks guys! It's been a real blast watching the tournaments.

I'll tell ya this much though....it's killin' me too! I get so nervous before his matches that I literally get sick to my stomach! LOL I wrestled all growning up too and always got nervous before matches but nothing like I do while watching my own son wrestle. It's a good thing he doesn't know how much it gets to me or it just might bother him more!

Congrats to Skyler on another great result!

Just make sure he never sees that crap on TV, so called "pro wrestling". You've got him on a great start. Heck, your other boys might just take it up now!

Congrats on Skylor's success! i have been coaching wrestling for years, it is one of my greatest joys in life {ranks up near hunting}. I started out with my sons when they were 5 and 12. I started by coaching little kids, and now am an assistant on our high school team that placed 3rd in the state tournament. My youngest graduated last year and I still love this sport. It will teach a lot of great life skills, as many of you guys already know. Good luck to Skylor in his future tournaments!
