My anniversary present

With my 10th anniversary fast approaching, my wife decided to surprise me with my gift today...and I am STOKED!!!!

Of course, now there are a great number of accessories I want to pick up but heck, she's exactly what I've been wanting for a while.

FYI: It's a Smith and Wesson M&P15.

Nice, bet you already know how to use it too. I bought one when I moved to Utah and my wife shoots it more than I do. Great anniversary gift though. I'm going on 14yrs and still waiting.---shooter

Oh yea, I know how to use it. When I returned from Iraq I told my wife that I wanted one (A4 or AR15) and have been lookin' ever since.

I have been out 'yote hunting several times this winter using my trusty .243 but I CANNOT wait to get this thing out. I just need to get a bi-pod on it...maybe a new sighting system (I do like the peep site and am pretty good with it), and a couple other things but she's ready to go "out of the box." My wife bought me a new Ecalling system for Christmas and now this....Very good holiday if ya ask me!

Congrats on your 10th anniversary and on having such a great wife!

Funny thing is, when I came back from Iraq I had to buy my own homecoming present, a Springfield 1911A1 Mil-Spec. Carrying that M9 made me really miss the 1911's we used to have.

Too funny! I did the same thing when I returned! My wife is now joking that I fully equiped to head back and should just re-up and take my own equipment!

I would have to get a Benelli 12ga and I'd be set. I carried that for my long gun rather than an M16 or M4 as half of my job was force protection inside the Ministry of Interior. I figured a good spread of 9 .32 cal pellets would serve me better than one .223 round in confined spaces.
