By the price and the fact that they are FN I would say Belgium. 1200 for a std Mod 70...ouch ](*,)

I bought a nicely used one off a rancher for 275.00 recently and I just love it. Came with factory 26" barrel. Good for 600yrds out of the box as it were.

They will be made in Columbia, South Carolina. It will be interiesting what they will actually hit the market at price wise. I have noticed a lot of the mfg's suggested retail prices are up around a grand but actually hit the market a good couple hundred under.

Seems they have been watching the price hysteria on model 70's on some of the online auction houses and want a little of the action. I'm glad they are back, too fine a rifle and part of hunting americana to not be in the mix.

Wish I could find one for $275...man that was a deal!!!

southwind ive noticed that about the rifle prices myself, but not for all the makes. The a-bolts seem to be priced right at the msrp.

I'm glad the m70s are back ive been shooting one for a long time. dang nice rifle. Now maybe they will bring back the 94s. xcrossx

It has got to be coming, again too much of a popular icon rifle not to be in the mix. A few years without them is not hurting the prices if your on the supply side. If they can return with same or better mfg cost and command another $100 per gun the mfg's would be nuts not to do it. Does not help the consumer but as long as the demand is good and there is nothing else poised to take it's place I can't blame them.
