My first "wall hanger"

I was blessed enough to take this deer on the last day of the hunt. We were hunting in the northeastern area on public land during the general season. He weighed in at over 250 pounds after we field dressed him. My dad and I had to drag him over a mile before we could get a fourwheeler to him. He's over 30" with 3 brow tines on the right side and one on the left. He's one of those deer I just couldn't help but yell and scream when I saw him piled up under a cedar and he was just as big as he was in my scope.
My dad and I put a lot of miles behind us to find this bad boy, but even if we hadn't got anything it would still be worth it. For me it's all about spending quality time with my father, and having him there with me when we walked up on this deer just made it that much more special to me. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thanks for posting him up and ::wel
CONGRATS!
BTW: I agree, although it's ALWAYS nice to get that trophy animal, the best part about hunting is spending time with loved ones and great friends enjoying the great outdoors.
Way to go!!
