Next year?!? My hunt starts in a couple of weeks and I'd be more than happy to run up against that buck. I've been blessed the past few years with some high quality bucks but truth be told, I'll be more than happy to fill my cow elk tag. I need some meat in my freezer and my wife has become very partial to elk meat. Not so much to deer but she is starting to like the backstrap.

The muzzleloader hunt hasn't started yet for this area. Soon though, can't remember the exact date. He will be long gone from this area where I got the trail cam. Maybe someone will get him?

If not, maybe I'll get him again on film next year?

great buck, i would like to see him next year, and see the growth and how much mass he gains. keep us posted on the muzzy hunt down there. I heard the rifle hunt was tough, is that true?

Depends on who you talk to I guess. But realty is YES, the rifle hunt is usually pretty tough. But I have to laugh at some hunters expecting to drive down and shoot a big buck off the road from their trucks??

Saw several road hunters at opening light of first morning.

??? ???

Won't kill to many big bucks doing that, or at least your odds go way down.
