My very first trail cam pic is a MOON!

Well I went and picked up my trail cam tonight. I was excited to see that it had taken 25 photos, I could not wait to get home and check it out. Well I was very disapointed, out of all the photos taken there was only one with animals in it. The rest are sequence photos that have no animals and it looks like the camera was just randomly taking pics. They were all in the day time. Do trail cam sensors get activated by the sun and shadows, that is the only thing that I can figure was trigering it. I did have the cam facing kind of a eastern direction.

I don't think I had the settings set up right either, I think there is a delay on it and that it was turned on.
Do you guys turn the delay on, on your cameras or does it take the photo instantaneous. And do you use the burst mode and delay between photos. Sorry for all the questions but I got to get this thing figured out. Thanks.

Here is the photo of the animals, and some of the trail it was on, either the animal was very fast walking threw or it was taking photos of the shadows.

At least I got one photo of an animal.

Oh and yes I know the date is wrong. Thought I set that before I put it on the tree. I got to figure this thing out a little better. It is a Moultrie camera.

Some ideas...

• The camera should be pointed North or South away from the rising or
setting sun. The sun’s heat on the horizon can cause false pictures to be
taken.
• Birds flying in front of the unit can cause a lot of false pictures to be
taken. These pictures are not false but the camera can not typically react
quick enough to take a picture of a bird in flight.
• Wind can move brush or branches and under the right circumstances will
cause a false picture to be taken. Try to clear the area of brush and braches
in front of the camera for best results.

and yes shadows and sun etc. have tripped my cams several times also.
