Need advice on how to hunt large high elevation basons.

This will be my first year trying to hunt very high elevation basins. I have been told that the big bucks like to hang out in the jack pines and avalanche shoots. Is this true? How can I be successful hunting these high basins. Do I need to spot and stalk. Or come in on top and push them out. What is the key here? I also want to watch some of the areas that are above the basins that are flat. Are these good areas? Thanks in advance for any information.

all you need is opportunity which is getting harder to come by and luck to capitalize on your opportunity.
