Your best bet is to head to your local archery shop and shoot a few bows. There are several youth bows on the market that are adjustable over a wide range so the bow can grow with your youngster.

You'll need to have your wife's draw length measured so you get the right bow to fit her. She can also pull a few back and see what draw weight she is comfy with starting out. Same for you!

Once you've shot a few bows you'll be able to make an informed decision on the best bow for you and for your family.

Hope that helps!

one thing about buying three is that you should get a good deal and heck you cant put a price on a good time.

What about Cord? He's going to be mad if you don't get him a bow to shoot (the arrows can have suction cups and I promise you'll never see any of your cats again!)

Give Dad a call and he can bring my bow up this month, if you want. I've got various parts here and there and don't think the wife knows where they all are. You can shoot it and let your wife try it out. I think the weight is adjusted down to around 50lbs right now because last time I shot it was after surgery on my shoulder. It'll give you an idea of what you like and don't like so you can go in better informed. Draw is 31" so should fit you both. If you want it, let me know and I'll tell Julie.

The Mathew Genisis bow is the one we use for the majority of our students in the classes at my shop. The bow has a broad weight range and is NOT draw length specific. This may allow you to purchase one bow that would satisfy both your daughter and wife. Take a look at them.

I would suggest looking at the Browning Micro adrenaline for youth, and the Diamond Edge for your wife. I would suggest either the Martin Bengal for you or something in the Diamond line.

check out the Sportsmans Warehouse/Bowtech Vital Impact for yourself. Package goes for 450 as a package with a Bowtech rest, Truglo sight, string leaches, wrist sling, and some other vibration deals on the limbs. I shot one and it was dead quiet without a stabilizer. 50-60 pounds.
