That's a nice boot but would definitely break the bank. My Cabelas specials will have to do!

Yeah, lil pricey, but we'll see what happens when they hit the store...

I have two pair of the Danner 452 GTX's (similar boot)and they have been almost indestructible. I own two because I was able to buy a pair real cheap at Sportsman Warehouse when they closed the store in my area. I now have a pair ready to go if I can wear the others out.

I have really abused my first pair...I know I have had them at least four to five years now. What has impressed me is the upper has kept it's integrity. Normally in this type of hiker it is the upper that gives out first.

I have been very pleased.

I have had a pair of Danner Elk Hunters for a year now and swear by them. Those hiking boots would be great for early year archery hunts. They really look like some good boots.

I can wear out the foreign made Danners in a year usually. They run $150.00 more or less. The GTX base desert combat boots went in 13 months. The original American made Arcadia Desert Issue Boots lasted 3 years and I wore them to work everyday too in a machine shop. My Grouse Hunters are still going strong after a hard year. I have a new pair of Desert Boots I wear only to hunt in. These are American made and retail for $240.00, but I found them on eBay new for $120.00 a pair. You may want to look there.
