New interactive mapping site for Colorado

Please take a few minutes to take a look see at the updated interactive website.

Colorado data includes,
  • Unit boundaries for all the big game species
    Topo data
    Colorado Counties (for reference)
    BLM Landownership
    Shaded Relief
    Elk Summer Concentration, summer range, production, migration, and wintering areas
    Mule Deer summer range, migration route and wintering areas
    Pronghorn migration routes, concentration, overall and wintering area
    Black bear summer/fall concentration and overall range
    Mt. Goat summer, winter ranges, concentration areas, production areas
    Bighorn sheep, summer, winter ranges, concentration and production areas
    Moose summer and winter ranges, overall range, and concentration areas
    and Turkey overall range, production areas, and wintering areas.
There is a lot of data here. In fact I had to break it up into two pages. The main page can be accessed here http://www.gmuhuntingmaps.com/colorado
There is a link at the bottom of the page for the rest of the animals.
Please let me know if I need to add or remove any data, or even make some changes to the format.

Yes it does contain much of the same information as the CDOW NDIS site. The key difference is you can assess all of this using your GIS programs.

Not sure how to do that? Don't fret. We are putting the final touches on a how to video that will show you how to do just that. Imagine viewing a 3D image of your hunting unit using free color satellite images? Those saddles, and benches just seem to jump out at you. The video should be available before the end of this year.

Oh the site is free, and will remain that way.
