We just received the e-mail from NM Game & Fish and my son Luke drew a unit 23 Burro Mountain buck tag. Wow! He is soooo pumped. We have applied for this unit for years and this is our family's first coues whitetail tag. Since it is a youth tag, he can hunt both coues or muleys.

Got my congratulations email this evening!!! I pulled the muzzleloader tag for Unit 6A&C (third choice unit). I'm super pumped to be hunting this year, but I've never been to that area, so I'm not real sure where to start or what to expect. I'll do some virtual scouting, maybe make a few calls, then see where I'm at. Hopefully I'll be able to peg down that big boy! [-o<

Hiker/Luke, Thats awesome guys, 10sign: can't wait until the fall to hear about another successful hunt in NM for ya Luke, Lord willing! Hold out for that coues! May be the only one in the family ever taken.

Thanks for the kudos everyone. Tikka you may be right, it might be the only shot we get at a coues. TGWH, Luke plans to use your reloads.

I drew archery antelope. After waiting seven years without an antelope tag in any state, this is my third in three years in either AZ or NM. It's the only thing I've drawn this year, so I'm getting pretty excited to get over there.
