New Mexico Unit 16 - Mule Deer 2009

I am new to this forum but thought I might check it out for advice on mule deer in New Mexico unit 16 if anyone has had such experience. I was drawn for the 10/31/09 to 11/4/09 black powder hunt as my 2nd choice. Every other year I have gotten my 3rd choice right next door to the north in unit 13 which I know very well but unit 16 is new to me. For mule deer they give you all of unit 16 meaing A,B,C,D,whatever therefore it's a big unit and not knowing it leaves me without an idea of where to start. Looking at the maps and what surrounding pictures I could find on the web I like the area around Apache Creek using FR94 as an entry but that is just a guess without any supporting advice. I am hoping someone on this forum might have some good advice and anything you can share is appreciated. Thanks.
