New Mexico Unit 22

Greetings Everyone,

I, and three others, have drawn an Oct 14-18 Muzzleloader Elk hunt in unit 22. We hope to use an outfit "Gila Wilderness Outfitters" ran by Leah Gray Jones to get us into the wilderness but we haven't yet picked out an area. We have made one scouting triip and plan at least one more and maybe two prior to the hunt. Other than my Dad's and my attempt at Elk last year we are all rookies at the Elk game.

Any help/advice from folks here would be greatly appreciated.
