I dont have much advice, but do know someone who guides Elk hunts...he might be able to lend some advice.

I saw a couple bulls 340 plus in the north east corner of the unit. I was up there scouting and called in at least two nice mature bulls it was just a damn shame that my tag was for Oct 11-15.
