New to the forum

Hey fellas, just joined the site. I'm a friend of AGCHAWK and by his suggestion, decided to join the site to discuss all things hunting.

I'm originally from the Missouri, hunted whitetails as a kid but now am stationed in Mississippi where the whiteys are the size of golden retrievers. Can't wait to jump on the rut next fall in the midwest.

Anyway, I'm here because it's been years since I last hunted and I'll be looking for new tricks (or old for that matter) to help me get that monster whitetail.

Glad to be here.

Hey Marc! Glad to see ya here!

Actually, I saw that we had a new member, checked out the profile and noticed that he was in the Navy, but had no idea that it was you!

Enjoy the site my friend. There are a lot of great folks here at MM.

Jeremy - When are you headed to training? Considering my new paper pushing job, I'm almost envious. :)

I'm out of here next weekend. I head to SD on Sunday, spend a week there, and then I get a 1.5 week break for the holidays.

After X-mas I head to Ft Jackson for "Army training", report to Kuwait on 18JAN, and then off to Iraq by 01FEB.

Looks like I'll be in Balad.

Glad you got what you wanted, buddy. Did you fill a tag this year?

Tagged out on a small 3x3 on the second to last day of the season. Passed on him twice during the week and went back for him when things didn't pan out on a bigger one.

As for the deployment...yea, it took a lot of yellin' and screamin' but I finally got the marching orders. Makes me feel a lot better than sitting stateside while others do the dirty work.

I'm really happy for ya. I knew that you really wanted to do it. Be mighty careful over there. I may need a WA muley buddy in the next couple of years!

I'm really starting to get back into shooting and hunting. I bought a Rem .270, a Rem 870 12 ga for duck and turkey and a .22 for Trevor.

Can't wait to fill my whitetail tag next year. The in-laws have 40 acres in Missouri that haven't been hunted in 15+ years. My money says there's a pig on that ground.

Sounds great! If you find yourself back up here we'll have to hit these WA muleys together.

Man, the MO hunt sounds great. I should make a trip down there to visit my sister and magically show up at your in-laws...LOL

If you're back by early NOV then we can hit it hard! We can definitely fill the freezer.

Thanks guys! I've actually been browsing this forum for a few weeks now and have liked what I've seen. Maybe I can bring a little Missouri Whitetail madness to the forum!

Hate to blow AGCHAWK's cover but he's the best. A great hunter and an even better guy and fellow servicemember. God willing I can do some muley hunting with him in the great northwest.
