New to the forum

Hey all, new to the madness here and love it so far. I have been hunting as long as i can remember and have developed my greatest hunting passion as chasing mule deer. I grew up in the West Kootenays of British Columbia and have chased mule deer from the low lands to the high country there (and still go back yearly) It is where i got my passion for mule deer. I then moved to central BC and have been continuing this passion. A little harder where i live now, but still attainable for sure. I have been finding many new high country spots here and am finding more. Here are some pics for you all to enjoy.

My 2006 West Kootenay mule deer....(only pic on the ole comp)

Thanks all, BC sure has a lot to offer the outdoor oriented person. Big country, lots of critters. Here is a pic of a wolf i shot this year about 5 seconds before i put 'er on the ground.

That wolf shot is awesome. Most people shoot first and take pictures later. That is too cool to have a before shot. How close was it when you took the photo. Did it hear the camera shutter? If yes what was the reaction or did the rifle shot come so quickly that there was no time to respond?

Sorry about the twenty questions, its just really cool.

Was about 30 yards from the wolf when we got that shot. It sure did help to have my best friend hunting with me at that moment as he was the one who snapped the shot :thumb while i held ready in case she bolted. Right after she heard the camera she turned quick and was gonna disappear into the thickest crap imagineable so i pounded her. A 7 mag on a wolf at thirty yards drops em pretty quick. But there was no damage to the hide. There are some after pictures of her in the coyote, wolf, predator subforum as well as the second wolf i got this year.

You would think that with so many Ashely Judd types buying ranches in montana (too avoid taxes) that sooner or later one of them would get mauled by a wolf. If not them at least one of the horses on their ranch. Lets see something like that get some press time at the grammys.
