North West Utah, Grouse Creek/Cotton Junction area

My father and I will be hunting on private property in the grouse creek, Cotton Junction area. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how the hunting is in that area. We will be hunting on private land. Also How hard would it be to get within 150 yards or so. My father does alright at one hundred and could probably hit at 150. Currently shooting a six inch group if ya call that a group at a 100.

good luck on your hunt!!!

i would expect to see deer in the 18-20in range!!! some of it can be pretty steep country, other parts are nice easy rolling sagebrush/juniper

let us know how it goes

Thanks 9er, would have liked to here about deer being bigger in that area but compared to our white tail deer here 18 to 20 inches will still be a monster. I have heard of 28 and 30 inch muleys, would love to see one of them! Course I am sure anyone would specially while hunting! Thanks again and wish us luck.

Harvey, I thought you are being guided? They and the landowner should be answering these question!

Ridgetop, we are being guided however I thought it would be nice to hear from people that are not being paid to tell me things. I have seen some pictures from the guides scouting trips and they look pretty good. But hearing from those of you that are hunters and not guides at least ones on payroll is uplifting.
