Northern Utah Deer Hunt

Hello All!
I am Robert, long time hunter first time writer. I am wondering if anyone knows a good place to go in the northern utah area. my past area of hunting (payson canyon) has just burned and now we have northern tags. I have never really hunted that way and have no clue where to start. If anyone could help me out with maybe "the place to be" I would greatly appreciate it!

Depending on the snow the area around washington reservoir/coyote hollow in the uintahs has some good bucks! There arent huge amounts of deer but if there isnt tons of snow theres a chance of taking a decent buck!

Does anyone know about the open area in the uintahs? I dont want to be tromping off on some private land and be getting into some trouble. I have a place by kamas utah and I believe that would be in the northern- does anyone know of success up there?

What season are you hunting? I went scouting about 10 miles from your house today and saw close to 20 3 point or better bucks. Only problem is that most of them are in very steep, thick stuff.

My family has a few acres in Woodland just a few miles south of Kamas. I've spent quite a bit of time chasing deer around those hills but it's in the northeast unit. Every year I'm amazed when I look at the mountains to the north at how many people hunt them. I have seen a few people with smaller bucks bring them through Kamas, but nothing decent. If I remember right, the success there is one of the lowest in the state. That's probably due to the high numbers and majority of road hunters.

If I was stuck with a northern tag I would look at a lot of areas before Kamas.
