Not a shed but..

Sunday afternoon hike.

My dog seemed interested in something so I took a look.

Then I took it out for a closer look.

That looks to be a pretty nice whitetail! Just curious where you found it, as in state?

Great buck, better than a shed IMO. Cause you got both sides. :)

The Crowwing river is the North boundery of our land here in North Central Minnesota. Its a good place to find sheds. During years of heavy snow the deer yard and antlers are easier to find. Our last 4 winters have been milder with less snow, so the deer Winter whereever they like sheds are hard to come by.

This rack has a 19" inside spread, good for a Whitail. It has split browtines. The tree rats chewed off several points and did a lot of damage.

It's hard to tell what killed it. Wolf kills are common and getting more so all the time. Being there where no other bones nearby is evidence that its a wolfkill.

I think that it would looks good just how it is. Just tack it up on your porch over the door. The weatherd look will help the cabin to have a nice rustic look.
