I have a strong hunch I'm going to be getting the camera I've been wanting for my birthday...(Yippee!) I've been wanting to get into photography for quite some time...
I know there's quite a few of you on this forum that are darn talented with a camera. I'm hoping to learn a little from you guys. Are there any tips you can pass a long, maybe a some literature you recommend, a useful read?? I'm sure just like anything, getting out there and doing it is the biggest part. And I sure plan on doing that, but other than my husband telling me I'm over zealous with a camera weather its christmas or an elk hunt, I'm pretty novice to the whole thing.
I don't really know anyone (in person) who has much experience in this area, so if there is anyone who's willing to give me a few pointers here and there, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

2 of my favorite websites above with lots of info and reviews on cameras.
I'd say IS (Image stabilization) is a must.
can you be more specific as to exactly what type of INFO you are looking for or referring to??

I can hardly wait !
what camera are you getting? I have lots on my "want" list and a nice camera is right there at the top!
And thanks for the birthday wishes!
I'll post some pics of the hunter my husband was calling for and the bull he killed. Cool kid, 19 years old, obsessed with hunting, and his first archery elk hunt. Glad it worked out for him.
We just had our second child a month ago, so other than going out to look for a downed bull, to glass, or explore with the kids, I hung at camp with the little ones. I did get some pics of them - not with my new camera though .. Our new little girl, and her first hunting trip. And two of our older boy flying a kite (it was reallllly windy on this hunt) with the mom of the hunter we were there to help. I'll post the elk pics in the elk forum. .
Nice looking new one you have there! :thumb
