Off season storage

I have an 06 bowtech alliegence. I shoot a lot in the spring, summer, and fall but it is just to fetchen cold in the winter so I don't shoot. I am wondering if there is anything that I should do for storing it for a long winter nap. Example: Do you take it in and have the pressure released a little (take the draw wt down) how do you bow techys store your equipment.

Thanks.

If you have a press you could take the string and cables off but if you don't then just back out the limb bolts as much as you can, your owners manual will tell you how many turns out is safe. This should also help with string stretch. Then keep it stored inside away from extreme temperatures. Usually you can put it in a closet or under a bed and it will be fine. You might go ahead and use a white marker and mark everything for timing, position of cams, etc.. so you know if anything has changed nex time you go to shoot. When you pull it out next spring check out the nock position and timing to make sure it is correct, otherwise you may have to re-tune it.

Ditto-just back the weight down, if you will be shooting in the spring there is probably no need to take the strings off. As mentioned above, make sure where you store it is not in any extreme temps. I have seen strings break or frey from it. Although I would be suprised to see a string that new break, but it could happen.
Whenever you get your bow out after storing for a while it is a good idea give it a good look over and tune, after turning weight back up and getting everything set to shoot it and if needed shoot it through paper to see if you are getting the flight you want.
