Olympus D-360L camera build pics

Okay, I bought my Dad a trail camera kit, case, and camera because it looked cool. I figured he would have fun building it and have even more fun getting some photos from it.

Has anyone else built one of these?
I'll let you know when we get some actual pictures off of it, haven't tried it yet.

Here is the pictures of the finished project, I must say it took him a while to put it all together.

What is that thing that looks like a circut board and what is the cable for?
It would be neat to have a kit to carry. All my stuff is way to big. I've tried film point and shoot's but didn't like the photo's I got. That kinda looks like an Olympus D-580, 4 mp? How's the photo's from it?
I just happened to think after writing that last note. Sometime back in either Shutterbug or Popular Photography magizine was a photo done with a camera on a set. It was at an elk kill and shot photo's every so othen, maybe with an electric eye of some kind. The final photo, with the aid of a computer show's a number of preditor's on the kill, even tho none of these guy's would sit down at the same table together. If I can find it I'll e-mail it to you. Unreal as it is, it's a cool photo.
That is a circuit board, it runs the motion detector/heat sensor to make it all work.

The cable connects from the board into the camera.
This is a "plug and play" system via the cable, which is nice. So nothing has to be done to the camera other than plugging the cable in.

Make sense?

Don't have pics from it yet, I'll let you know as soon as I do.

I found the magazine. March 2004 Shutterbug. web site http://www.shuterbug.com. Don't think I can get this photo in the forum so am e-mailing it to you. I believe the image was made with 180 individual images and a olympus E-10 camera was used.
So what your saying is this picture is of animals that all fed on this Elk carcass. Then they just created this image by superimposing all the animals into one photo? And these where taken from a trail camera?

Interesting picture...

That's pretty much it, an Olympus E-10 digital set on a tripod and somehow programed to take picture's every few min. In 10 hrs it took 180 frame's. You can find the article at http://www.shuterbug.com. Go to the March 2004 issue, look in feature's, "Is This The Ultimate Image Composite?"

It's a neat photo but think of what could be done thru computer manipulation that could hurt shooting sport's. Kinda scary what's possible.
