Going to MT. Leaving home late Wed and will be hunting Thurs morning. One thing about MT they have a long season, opened on the 22 Oct - Nov 26.
I hunted the 22-26 saw about a half a dozen in the 20,22 inch range. I held out for somthing at least 24" with some mass. Saw one good one at about 600 yards, made a stauk. saw his head and antlers at about 75 yards as he dissappeared in a ravine. No shot.
The rut will be going for those MT Muleys so the chance for seeing mature bucks around the does should be better. =D>
