I know how everyone thirst for more pics all the time so I had to share! My friend just got his antelope back from the taxi.
Big Ben drew a antelope tag last year here in Oregon after 17 years of applying. He is an older gentleman that does not get around very well anymore and asked for my help on his hunt. I am always looking for a excuse to go hunt, and jumped at the chance :)
I found this monster within the first hour of daylight on the opening day. I spotted him at a half mile away and could tell right away we needed a closer look. After further examination he was defiantly worth the effort to get big Ben closer for a shot. As luck would have it, and we had a lot of good luck, the big buck bedded down in a spot I thought I could get Ben close enough for a good shot. 500 yrds. and an hour later, I had Ben within a 100 yards of this buck. He stood as Ben rested his rifle off my shoulder and took his shot, or shots i guess it would be. lol Well, he eventually put down this buck of a lifetime. I could not believe my eyes when we walked up on this buck. He had 18" horns!
As you can tell the taxi had a tough job. He was Green score at 85" and officially at 83 4/8. He let it dry for 6 months. opps #-o
I'm starting to think I am a better guide that hunter lol

Ben is 70 years old and this is only the second antelope tag he has drawn. Oh, and this was not Hart MT. either.
Another good reason to apply for Wyoming!!

that is a beast! funny you said it wasn't on hart mtn, that woulda been my first question / guess.
unbelievable how hard it is to draw a antelope tag in oregon, and wyoming is a super inexpensive- quality hunt. but oregon does kick out it's share a great bucks.
good job and a 10sign: for posting!
Wyoming here I come!
I've always liked going on other peoples hunts more than my own. You get to have all the fun and none of the pressure.
