paunsagant management hunt 2013

To whoever may help
Due to a progressive eye desease , and knee replacement this year, I chose to use my 13 bonus points and draw the management tag this year. ( I may only have a year or so left with eyesite and couldn't risk wasting points by failing to draw the regular pauns or henry's tag)
That being said, I am not familiar with paunsagant or the migration areas. And my disabilities have left me no finances to spent time scouting the area. And I am not confident that would be productive due to the migration at that time (10/30-11/03) So I the plan is to go down 2-3 days prior to the hunt and try to locate deer. So needless to say I can use any advice , direction , assistance anyone might share. Since this will be my last hunt , I would like a chance at one last nice buck. I have killed 4 over 30" in my lifetime , however I don't expect that. But I won't pull the trigger on a 2 year old 3 or 3x4 either. I would rather not fill my tag than do that.
So again , any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you sincerely Lonnie email- fishnfool1958@gmail.com

I've seen a couple of good management bucks on the summer range, but don't have a clue where they would be during your hunt.

I might be able to give you some general ideas help but I've never hunted the Management hunt myself, so take it for what it's worth.

Thank you for your reply. I understand that during that hunt I don't think anyone can pin down a particular buck ect... Mostly due to the migration and early rut they should be on the move. However what I am looking for is just an idea of areas on the south end where I may find water, or favored migration routs, some road access areas ect... I just have no knowledge of the area at all. Just would like some advice on where to turn my attension , then hope for some early snow up high to get them moving. Thanks Lonnie
