Pending New Wyoming State Record P&Y Pronghorn

My wife, and my 2 yr old, as well as myself, slipped into the blind 10 days into the rifel season, Jody insisted on using her bow. She took a viry nice goat at 6 yards, Myself and the taxidermist scored him a littel over 86.5" we'll know after the drying stage. I video taped the whole thing, as well as photograph. My P&Y goat scored 84 and change. I also scored a 320 6pt bull at my house pond, 56 yard shot. i have pic's and video of all.

Still don't see the photos that are the topic of your post. Your photo album link seems to only show albums of live animals, your blog has too many topics to easily find this one.

What area of Wyoming could produce two antelope in the mid-80's?! I've never seen an antelope in Wyoming that would come anywhere near 80!

Trust me my wife and I shoot 83"+ every year with a bow. We never thought about putting them into the P/Y books until this year. So you can call s liars if ya want, but we should occupy atleast 6 of the top ten P/Y slots next issue, all from southern Wyoming.

Here you go elkaholic. Great looking animals. I've only been antelope hunting once, but I look forward to going again.

Really? My brother shot one this year that went 80 5/8" and this is the first time we have ever hunted WY. In fact he shot it 2.5 hours after he go to his area, we didn't even really do much hunting he saw it, liked it and the game was over. I gaurentee there were bigger animals around if we would have wanted to take the time to "hunt" the area harder.

A friend of and I killed 3 bucks over 80 in 3 years and 2 of them went over 82 net, in Eastern Wyoming near Casper.

There is a bunch of antelope that go over 82+ every year out of Wyoming. I seen a very few, but still a few that would push 84-85 inches over the years.

i was thinking the same thing:) stickflicker has killed a TON of giant antelope, including the world record in his avatar- i'm pretty sure he knows you can find big antelope in wyoming- i'm also sure he knows antelope are one of the animals people say a score ALOT higher than the true score-- and by the way this post started i had my doubts as well.

that said nice animals

For any in doubt of the scores, you can check out the pope&young for goats next year, we should have 4-5 in the top 10.

Thanks everyone else,

My wife shot a 330 bull last evening!

My wifes goat missed the state record by 2/8 of an inch, or for those that do'nt know much about trhe scoreing system, that would be one 1/4 of an inch on the tape! Official score was 86 2/8.

I'm so happy for her, yet so mad we couldn't make the number one spot!

Thank's to all that had no doubt of the size of goats here in Wy.!
