Bob Decker of Eau Claire shot this buck, believed to be the animal made famous this fall after a video of it was posted on the Web site of the outdoor magazine Field and Stream, while bow hunting Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 in Buffalo County. Experts have speculated the animal may challenge the typical buck world record.

Maybe it's just me, but judging from the one pic, I'm not sure that it's going to beat the Hanson buck.
Either way, that is one MONSTER Whitetail!!!!!
UPDATE: 1/6/2009
Bob Decker's incredible buck is the new archery state record non-typical with an official Pope & Young score of 233-2/8, surpassing a buck taken with a bow in 1979 that scores 231-5/8.
Although first thought to be a possible new record typical, official P&Y scoring determined a number of non-typical points and the buck's highest score being in the non-typical category.
The B&C state record non-typical taken with a firearm scores 247-3/8 and was taken by Arnold N. Staisberg in 1998. Using the B&C scoring system, Pope & Young maintains the records for archery only trophies. Boone and Crockett accepts all legally taken trophies, as well as found or pick up trophies that meet or exceed the minimum entry score for each category. The B&C minimum for non-typical whitetail is 185. The P&Y minimum is 155.
