private land trespass fees for Colorado

Fellow hunters, I drew a 3rd season tag for unit 18, 28, 37 and 371. This was my second choice but I am still excited about getting to go hunting. One of the areas in unit 18 that I am really interested in is east of troublsome creeek up forest road 105 but I understand that the road is closed due to crossing private property. Does anyone know if the landowner would be willing to let me cross for a fee and if so, how can I locate and contact them. I know this is a long shot but thought I would try. Thanks and good hunting

best way to look up the owner is a "plat map" from the local tax collector office. They are maps of the area that let you see who owns it. It should have their contact info on the map. If ya run into a dead end on that, look at the property appraisers office in that county.

Thanks for the information but I have since learned that there are some outfitters working in there and I am sure they have exclusive trespass rights. I was just looking for a way to get away from the crowds. Just have to look else where. Thanks again and good hunting.
