Hi Guys,
Here's a picture I got back in 2002 and I have never seen any information about this deer. I assume it is a Photoshop fake job. If you zoom in real close you can see something suspicous about the bases on the antlers. Otherwise he would have blown away all world records. Anyone remember this one?

This fella resides in Walla Walla WA and does this as a hobby. I remember when this "buck" hit the internet perported to shatter the current world record.
This guy, and I can't remember his name, never intended for this to circulate this way. He never tried to pass it off as a geniune buck either. Someone either tried to pull a fast one or ASSUMED that it was real and started the whole mess.
I must say, this guy does one heck of a job though!
That's the fella's name. He also carved a great whitetail rack that far surpasses the world record.
Here is the brief breakdown as it's read from the Boone and Crockett web site (Same photo accompanies this blurb):
Some of you may have seen this "pending" World's Record mule deer circulating around the internet during the last few months. Rumor has it that it was taken in Colorado in 2001. Later rumors surfaced stating that it was actually taken in Idaho. The buck is actually from Washington, but it wasn't taken, it was cast.
These are actually cast antlers made from a wood carving done by Ralph Tretheway from Walla Walla, WA. After the carving, Ralph made a cast of the antlers and has sold several copies to the curious.
The Burris Buck is still the Boone and Crockett Club's #1 typical mule deer taken in 1972 from Delores Co., Colorado, by Doug Burris, Jr. It scores 226-4/8 points.
Antlers are carved!
