Problem cougar

About a week and a half ago we had a cougar that killed some sheep and goats. So my cousins told thier friend who has hounds to try and get this problem lion. He tried and failed the lion outsmarted his dogs. Then this weekend my brother his friend and I went to check if we could see this lion. We had been walking no more than 15 miniutes when we could hear some dogs barking, so we ran to get a better look and there was the lion high up in the tree. Natrually we thought it was our cousins friend who treed the lion but as we got closer it was some people we did not know. We had asked them who let them on our land, and they said a guys name that we knew. He was the foreman on the ranch that bouders ours. They had been so busy during the chase they had not snapped that they had wandered onto our ranch. But we did not get mad becouse they had started on the neighboring ranch and had caught the problem lion. They killed the cat and it was a male, that weighed between 150-160 lbs. His front teeth were worn down alittle. He really was a beautiful cat.

Cool, glad you/they got rid of the problem. Good to see that you were sensible and didn't get to upset. How about a pictur of the cat?

Sorry I had not taken my camera that day, so I did not have a chance to take a picture. I'm very sorry. They had gave me thier # so if we have any more cat problems, and if my brother or I want to just take a lion. But I will probably wate until I have enough $ to get a bodymount.

That is always a sensitive situation as dogs dont know boundries but people do or at least should I am glad you were willing to understand that things happen but at the same time they do need to maybe contact you ahead of time before the hunt just in case they did end crossing over to your land then at least you would be aware being out there
