Quebec-Labrador caribou bulls

here a couple pics of my first bulls.
I hunted with explo-sylva in northern Quebec in september 2005
it was the most physically challenging hunt of my life,as all the caribou were passing at the same place in our hunting area. which was 2 miles from camp. #-o . i was hunting with Pascal my hunting partner for the last 15 years and is father was giving a try at hunting for the first time of is life. so the 2 of us had 4 caribou to pack for 2 miles, and 2 other that we got 3miles from camp. Pascal's father was not in good shape and could only follow packing is own weight :))
we also ran a lot after caribous as they wouldn't cooperate and come by themselves within shooting range. all shots were quite long. pascal's father shot is 2 bulls the first night at 220 and 250 yards,Pascal got is first at the same time at 240yards, i got my first the following morning at 265yard and my second one the 3rd afternoon at 409 yard. Pascal had the chance to shoot a 250# black bear at 260 yard .
and he got is last caribou on the fourth day,a 330yard shot.
action was non stop during this great hunt and we even had time to fish
for big lake trout.
