red dot or nikon

Hopefully will draw for Colorado unit 581 this year. I'll be primary hunting with a Marlin 1895GBL in 45-70 with handloads 300gr Hornady at 2200fps. My back up rifle with be a browning x-bolt 30.06 with handloads of sierra 180BTSP @ about 2700fps. My question is optics on the Marlin. I hunted with good luck with a vortex sparc last year in the swamps of Florida. Should I step up to the vortex venum or Nikon Monarch3 1-4x20 scope this year? For shots that are gonna be longer than 250 or so I'll hunt with the x-bolt. Thanks, Rudy.
