reloading problems

Ok so the last probably 20-30 rounds i have deprimed(rcbs) 7mmwsm.
have a small circular scratch when they come out. they are right below the shoulder where the vent is on the die. i have tried cleaning the inside, sticking a toothpick in the vent hole and the scratches still remai n. i shine a light down in and it looks clean and nothing on sidewall of die. i am stumped any ideas?

Got me?????? Maybe a picture of the mark would help me visualize what is going on. If the scratch is in the same place every time then there is probably a small burr that you can't see, or a small piece of brass stuck against the vent hole. You might need to hone out your die, or have someone qualified do it.-----------SS

im guessing there must bu a small burr around the vent hole.

Run a wire along the inside of the die and see if it drops into the vent hole smoothly or hangs at the edge of it. That woulds indicate a burr. Did you change brass or powder charge?

send em back to rcbs, they'll fix em or replace them for free

I agree. I had a die that did the same thing. It was obviously a burr on the vent, and RCBS confirmed and replaced the die no problem.
