Rifle question

O.K. all you gun nut's, I've been looking at the Tika T3's and so far I've been pretty impressed. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experiance with these rifles and what you thought of them. Good or Bad let me here em!

Thanks

I would say they are a better deal than the Rem 710 but i would take a Rem bdl 700 over the Tikka any day.

i really like the bdl as well but i believe you can get the tikka's for $450 their made by SAKO and they have an out of the box garrenty to shoot at least 1 inch groups { it's been 1 1/2 yrs since i bought one for a buudy so my info might not be up to date] they are pretty cheap for what your getting. just my opinion though but i cant say you would be going wrong with the REM BDL--- great gun also

My Savage 110 was $350 and shoots 5/8" groups... but I know alot of folks do not like the savages.

NONYA I love those 700's in fact I've already got a Remington 700 in 243 but when I looked at the new Remington CDL’s everyone is asking between $689.00 and $739.00 for them. That's a little steep for a poor college kid. Wharpoley I did look at the Savages. In fact I talked my Dad into buying one last year in 7MM08. The T3 I've been looking at is the Lite stainless it weighs around 6 lbs has a trigger that's adjustable from 2-4 lbs, a detachable box magazine and I can get one from my local gun shop for $509.00... I might have to wait until the new Ruger comes out before I decide though.
Thanks for your responses!!

I took a White Tail buck and a cow elk with my T3 stainless lite this year. it's in a 270 WSM. I've got no complaints with it. some people don't like the clip because it's plastic. but I had no problems with it.

:thumb they're a good gun, don't know what their selling for these days but I had one 4 years ago, shot very well even with cheap ammo, I went to a custom built gun so I had to sell 'er to help pay for the custom...

I've got 3 of them and they are fantastic shooters. I've had the Tikka Whitetail for 7 years and it's proven to be very tough, smooth action, and fantastic trigger. All 3 shoot circles around any 700 I've ever had out of the box. My Remy's either needed bedding, trigger job, or both.

The tikka is a fine rifle that you would be very happy with.

never shot it but i agree with wharpoley savage is the best bang for your buck one of the most accurate mass produced rifles made paid 400 for mine shoots 1/2 groups at 100 yards . the main thing a savage lacks is the stock is a bit cheaper so the gun can be more affordable
however never shot the tikka so cant say it for 100%
