I don't see whats so funny about that. Looks like the local road hunter got his goat then threw it off a cliff. Actually seems a little sick to me.

HOLY C***!!!

I agree, what could possibly be left of the animal after that tumble? All you're gonna have is a "sack of broken bones"!

Since the chances of drawing a tag in my state are pretty slim, the last thing I would want with my "Once in a lifetime chance" goat is to have it tumble off a mountainside and destroy the meat and head.

Don, I saw that too. I've never heard of road huntin' for goat. I really do not like road hunters/roadhunting at all...especially that.
With that being said, they may be "off-road" which doesn't make it illegal although it's still not puttin' in the work that you normally relate to a goat hunt. Cheatin' the animal out of his opportunity to survive (After all, if hunting was this easy and one sided it wouldn't be much of a challenge and therefore not the addicting activity that we all enjoy).

One heck of a shot though!

Gotta agree with both Don and AGC. I believe goats are the toughest hunt any of us would ever encounter. I'm real curious as to where this is because I have never known goats to be that close to any roads. And after the fall, complete waste of such a magnificent animal.

makes me mad but some funny comentary " Holy s##t! you busted his a## Bruce", lol

DeadI
i agree with ya bigbuck92.

don't like the circumstances and the way it happens but the commentary is hillariouse. i to would be pissed if that was my goat going over the hill, but man the things the guy is saying just cracks me up. glad it was not my goat thought.

I see a fine animals death reduced to humilation. Sorry but no humor there for me.
26
MuleyMadness
It almost seems planned or staged in some way. The guy still talking like crazy when the shot goes off, acting like it's to far away and he won't shoot and the sheep is safe...then all of a sudden BLAM!!

I find it a bit disturbing also. I didn't think there language was funny, just lacking some intelligence maybe.

I must say that is one of the craziest videos on the WOW factor.
28
ridgetop
I found myself feeling really sad for the goat and really imbarrassed for the hunters
26
kadejones2
that is funny but i would hate to see a good sheep like that go to waste though.

I to saw nothing funny about it.first you see a truck door and then a beautiful animal rolling and falling down a hill. I've been putting in for mountain goat here for years and would just be saddened if I drew and then watched my animal fall like that.Hopefully if I draw I will be hunting the first few days with a bow.

you might but you have to understand around where i live their are people that plane their whole hunts on how they are going to drive certan roads and i have heard of people get in argument over someone hitting a road ahead of another person. its rediculous!!!!!!!! and all they ever kill are little 2 points! are deer hunting has gone to crap because of it!!! it burns my azz just talkin about it :222 so thats why i cant stand them gas burners... i know people who did not hunt last year cause the price of gas was so much they could not afford to go hunting----------- from their trucks and then complain that hunting is a rich mans sport anymore.. well get out of your truck and hike and the gas will not be as expensive.. but they are real bad around here :>/ :>/ :>/ :>/

i respect your saying, But my grandpa shot a 5X4 buck that scored 169 from his truck so road hunters dont alwas get little 2 points.

Coloradobuck, I'd just drop the subject. I think the VAST majority of folks here do not look kindly to road huntin' (Just read the comments about this disturbing video made by other members of the site).

As an added point, it's illegal in most states to shoot from a rig, within certain distances from established roads (strand-off distances vary by state), carry a loaded weapon in a vehicle, etc. If you want to go on a public website and admit to possibly breaking numerous hunting laws/regs then that is your business...and a good way to be visited by folks who enforce those laws.

Personally, it's not "hunting" in my opinion. Scoutin', hikin', enjoyin' the countryside and the peacefulness of nature, and bustin' your rear is what huntings all about. Not driving around like your lookin' for a good burger joint.

That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it, and that's the last I'll comment on this subject.

bigbuck92
wow its gettin a lil heated in here :-$ :222

In Colorado it is illegal to shoot from a vehicle and you must be at least 50 feet from the centerline of a public road. But if you ask me hunting from a vehicle is NOT hunting. I chased a great buck with my bow this year for 30 straight mornings. 175 main frame with matching cheaters. While I didn't get this great buck (came close, had him at 74 yards) I still had an incredible HUNT.

we are not on public roads we are on privet roads so that a hole nother story

my grandpa used to road hunt cause he was missing both of his legs. but he still tried like hell to get out and walk. i remember a 5 or so years ago he was trying to walk though the snow and one of his fake legs came off. Hes passed away now but that was one of the most determined old men ive ever seen
26
killerbee
to hear of someone who is so deserving of road hunting still get out there and hunt his but off now he's a stud in my book!!!!!!
26
bigbuck92
ya he was and still is one of my heros. taught me tons about the outdoors. even liked playing tricks on little kids by telling them to yank on his leg and see what happens.priceless.lol
26
Rileyhunter
I went bow hunting with a guy that had one fake leg and man that guy could hike.OH and by the way he hated road hunting.

goat hunting is harder than anything i've everdone, harder than alot of the sheep hunts i've done, and way harder than alpine mule deer. I've seen a goat with my bare eyes climb up a crack in the side of a cliff that was 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch wide, i wouldn't have believed it if i didn't see it. Guys like that are just morons.
26
TheGreatwhitehunter
wow sure hate to see what that thing looked liked after all the hide damage not a really funny thing at all.

Though you cant determine that he roll and fall so badly that was just insane.

Had a friend shoot his lion after 8 days hunting and the thing jumped from the rock right off the cliff really messed up the meat and the hide.
26
Wapiti
That's quite the clip amazing shot i wander if the horns were still intact.

hmm, Had I shot any animal, let alone one with a once in a lifetime tag, and it proceeded to roll down the face of a hillside craching off boulders and falling down cliffs I guarantee you I would not be smiling or laughing. Congradulations, you just used the only shot, your ever going to get on a goat, and it just turned into hamburger. Nasty bloodshot hamburger that dogs wont even eat. Not to mention that it wouldn't be fit for a mount after a fall like that. I'd have to say that would not be a good day. The only thing good about it is the fact that You wouldn't have to hike up that steep hillside to tag the animal and pack him down. That brings up the question as to whether or not they actually tagged the animal after they saw what kind of damage was done to him. Not a good day, and not very intelligent hunters in my book. :>/
