Yesterday, JAn 16, 2007. My hero and best friend, my grandpa past away. He was 83 years of age and he taught me everything there is to know about hunting and fishing. He went with natural causes. He was married a great 61 years. He was born and raised in Indianola, UT. He had 13 brothers and sisters. I am going to miss him a lot. The picture is this last elk hunt, I told my dad we were going to get him up on Spencer fork ridge one more time. This day was perfect even though we did not get anything, he atleast got to see a nice 6x6 bull elk run through a flat we spooked out.
I wish you all couldve meet him.
Thanks Grandpa for everything, and thanks to you all.

Your picture honors him, and everytime you take the field or anything you do in life remember the man and honor because he is with you.
I wish I could have met him too.
Hang in there buddy, sounds like he lived a good full life!
I hope we can continue sharing the outdoors with all our heros and learn what we can like I have. Any knowledge is great knowledge.
Thanks again to you all and to you Brett for this web site and forum. =D>
Lets keep it up.
Both my grandfathers died before i was born , i have always wished i could have talked to them .
You are a lucky man to have shared your life with your grandpa , and being able to hunt with him is GREAT . :thumb I am a grandpa now and love spending time with my grand kids . I was able to help my grand son land his first fish , a Dolly Vardon on a fly Rod in a river on Kodiak Island . Nothing more fun that helping a little one !!!
We almost landed a Salmon on his Snoopy pole !!
